Defqon.1 Weekend Festival is the ultimate sanctuary for anyone with a passion for the harder styles. Defqon.1 grew quickly into one of the biggest hard dance festival in the Netherlands. More than 78.000 unique like-minded souls, from 110 different nations unite and become a vital part of this sacred tribe. Ever since the first Defqon.1 edition in 2003 this illustrious festival has been the hardstyle highlight of the season.
Location
From Almere Strand to Biddinghuizen
The first editions took place at Almere Strand, but as Defqon.1 became more popular, it was time to take things to the next level. That’s why Defqon.1 moved to Biddinghuizen in 2011, a bigger festival location that made the transformation from a day festival to a full weekend festival possible. Due to the expansion of the festival, the creative possibilities became endless, leading to the birth of multiple Defqon.1 highlights such as The Gathering, POWER HOUR, The Endshow and The Closing Ceremony.
